What's Fresh This Week: Market Day, June 5th
The Ludlow Farmers Market welcomed warm temps and clear skies for its second market of this growing season last week. We hope you'll join us this Friday from 4-7p.m. on the front lawn of the Okemo School.
There is a real coming together for our repeat vendors these first few weeks. Vendor Gloria Benson of Gloria’s Pantry is happy to be back, “I’ve been here since day one. We’ve really grown and the vendors, we all get along. We don’t see each other for the most part all winter so it’s so great these first weeks especially. We see each other, hug and catch up.”
There were several families with young children in attendance last week; some stretched out on the lawn in front of the music tent, while others sat for caricature artist Kelly Gadouas. Chantal Deojay of Macora Farm patiently walked two girls through the basics of needle felting a simple ball. There was fun to be found for all ages!
Thank you to the Bluegrassoles for entertaining the market with their lively renditions of crowd favorites like "Wagon Wheel". We look forward to welcoming Jake Geppert to this week's market. Come on by!
